A. NUR TÜRK Instagram: @ant___photography1 A. Nur Türk is a photographer, educator, and visual storyteller. She describes photography in her own words as her "backyard" — a personal and intuitive space where she accumulates her thoughts, silence, and inner reflections. She approaches photography not so much as a means of representation, but as a practice of pausing and bearing witness. Saying that photography is my opium, she emphasizes the importance of establishing a silent relationship with the image before producing it, and argues that images only become visible in this state of suspension. Her work centers on situations that resist verbalization, withdrawn bodies, and temporal ruptures. Her cinematically informed visual approach removes time from being a linear flow and treats it instead as a fragmented, discontinuous, and fragile structure. Her productions are positioned within a field of tension that moves back and forth between personal memory and collective memory. Identity, belonging, solitude, and existential entrapments gain visibility through metaphorical imagery rather than direct narrative. Viewing photography as an intellectual and emotional process rather than an outcome, Türk describes her works as "visual letters" — these images aim not to establish a one-way relationship with the viewer, but to create silent encounters in which meaning is reconstructed together.

A.NUR TÜRK (Chemist, Visual Keeper (photographer), Observer, Instructor) I define photography as my backyard. Sometimes I also see my relationship with photography like a diary, formed only between (myself / myself), with my inner voice, as a silence of my voice. It was at this exact point that I noticed visual stories (photography). I think, as Berger said, I was looking for a voice to put what I see into words. A.Nur Türk is a Chemist, Visual Keeper (photographer), Observer, Instructor living in Bursa. A mother of one son. After graduating from Dicle University Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Chemistry, she worked as a chemist for a while. She later taught chemistry at various educational institutions. Her interest in photography began with cinema (1999). With that first moment when she started freezing cinema frames and capturing photographic images, she said "hello" to photography, and since 2013 she has been wandering with her black box, which she calls her opium. She received basic photography training in 2013 and advanced photography training (2014). Her passion for literature and philosophy led her to the field of conceptual photography. From 2015 onwards, she participated in training and workshop studies on conceptual photography for 4 years. She attended many workshops on ways of seeing in cinema (2017-2020). She added Anadolu University's Department of Photography and Cameraman to her education and graduated from this department in 2019.
