I was born in Ankara in 1966. I graduated from Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School in 1984, and from Middle East Technical University Electrical-Electronics Engineering department in 1988. For many years, I was part of the analytical world of engineering discipline.
In 1997, I united my life with my wife Elif, who is an interior designer. Her creative, free and sometimes boundary-pushing perspective always brought a different balance to my more systematic approach and enriched our lives. My greatest wealth and source of inspiration in life are my children Dora and Duru.
My real connection with photography began in January 2010; it was a kind of rebirth for me. I feel free, peaceful and happy when taking photographs. To date, I have participated in personal and group photography exhibitions in Turkey and the USA; my works have been published in various books and magazines.
When my Black Sea side prevails, I move away from crowds and noise and turn to nature. I love a simple life intertwined with nature together with my family, and I dream of aging this way. In 2015, with some courage, we moved to the USA as a family. Here I work in the meze business, in a sense becoming a guest at people's tables.
I love photographing life as it is, telling stories especially through portraits. I hope these stories find a response in you as well.
Enjoy watching.
Stay healthy and happy.
