Banu Muratlı

She is a graduate of the Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department at M.U., and completed her Pedagogical Formation and Master's program at the same university. Later, she encountered "Art Therapy," the most magnificent method of combining psychology and art, which had always attracted her interest. Between 2000-2003, she completed the first Art Therapy training conducted through the partnership of Öteki Psychological Counseling and Lesley College Art Therapy MA program instructors. Subsequently, she received "Group Processes and Effective Leadership" training from Ayna Psychological Counseling. Between 2010-2016, while taking Art Therapy training conducted at İ.Ü. Medical Faculty Psychiatry department, she simultaneously worked with psychotic patients at the same institution using art psychotherapy methods. During this same period, she conducted art therapy work with Alzheimer patients, children with Down Syndrome, children with Autism Spectrum disorder, and relatives of patients in the Rare Diseases group. She served as an instructor in many training programs in this field. Additionally, the training she received from Nalan and Nicolas Lecerf on "The Hero's Journey and Archetypes from a Hermeticism Perspective" for 3 years brought her to an important turning point in her life. To deepen her work with "Dreams," which she had valued greatly since childhood and had been working on since 1997, she decided to focus on training in this field. She received "Jungian Dream Readings" training from Didem Çivici. She also learned methods such as "Dream As Body Map," "Amplification," "Teleological Approach," "Transcendent Function" at Didem Çivici's "Dream Analysis School." She received training on "Dreams and Numerology" and "Numbers as Symbols and Esotericism" from Zeynep Ergen and Mehmet Akif Coşkun, and participated in numerous dream reading supervisions. In addition to these, she also received training in "Meridian Theories and 5 Element Yoga series" from Devrim Akkaya Kaçmaz, "Craniosacral Therapy" from Iranian Shaman Naritsa, and "Melt Exercises for Fascia" from Dr. Nurcihan Ekici.

She teaches courses such as "Creative Processes", "Design Psychology", "Art Therapy", "Material Use in Art Therapy", "Art-Based Occupational Therapy", "Recreational Activities in Occupational Therapy", "Art and Creativity with Children" at various universities and designs content and curricula. She is currently a lecturer at Istanbul Kent and Bilgi Universities. She has participated in many exhibitions both domestically and abroad.
