Contemporary Artist

HANDAN KORKMAZ, The artist born in Sivas, earned the right to receive a 100% scholarship education at Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Plastic Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics) in 2000 and graduated in 2005 with 3rd place honors in her faculty and department. After graduation, she continued her work by opening her own studio in Istanbul. During this period, she participated in many projects and group exhibitions and opened three solo exhibitions. In 2018, she completed her Master's degree education at the Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Plastic Arts at the same university, again receiving a merit scholarship. In 2019, she received an award in painting at the Service to Art, Appreciation and Coronation award ceremony organized by Lions Clubs. In 2024, she received the Role Model award in Best of Kültür Painting category by Kültür Educational Institutions. She is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD). She is currently continuing her painting work at her studio in Istanbul.
