I was born in Stoke on Trent and brought up in Preston, Lancashire. For the past twenty years I have been based in Doncaster where I have a studio in the former art college. After completing my degree in Fine Art, Sculpture at Newcastle University in 1982, I continued to practice as an artist maintaining studios across the north of England before returning to the North West in 1990. I trained as teacher in Bolton before working in Further and Higher Education until I retired in 2018. In 2004-2005 I took a career break to study for the MA in Creative Technology at the University of Salford. My work involves the integration of digital technologies and traditional artistic processes to explore the bridge between the real and the ideal and how that manifests in and as a physical space.
