I am İpek Erdi Kaya, and I am in an effort to add a contemporary interpretation to filigree, a traditional handicraft, with the aesthetic perspective I gained from my architectural background. Since 2019, I have been producing original, handmade works through wire, fabric and texture. Each of my works is the result of a meditative process that progresses with patience and intuition, and aims to create spiritual and visual depth when integrated with space. In my art, I blend minimalist, bohemian and naturalist approaches; I enrich classical techniques with materials such as velvet, linen, glass fragments and copper wire. My filigree works, specially designed for modern interiors, limited edition and with certificates of authenticity, offer aesthetic and emotional value for hotels, restaurants, offices and individual collections. I see art as a bridge between the past and today, and I aim to establish an intuitive connection with the viewer in each of my works.
