This painting was inspired by the struggle of a group of Turkish miners who stood together to demand the most basic human right: the right to be paid for their work. In the foreground, a miner wearing a red helmet raises his fist—not in anger, but in dignity. Around him, fellow workers gather in silent solidarity. Behind them stands a line of police officers, representing the tension between authority and the voices of ordinary people fighting to be heard. It is a tribute to every worker who has been asked to sacrifice more than they can afford, and to every person who refuses to surrender their dignity. The raised fist becomes a symbol of resilience, courage, and collective strength. Even when wages are withheld, even when justice seems distant, the human spirit continues to rise. A story of labor, resistance, and the universal demand for fairness. Inspired by the enduring tradition of protest art that gives visibility to social struggles and human dignity
