Moby Somewhere I İstanbul
TR
Moby doesn't belong to any place. But he can stay everywhere.
He doesn't tour cities.
He lingers within them.
He likes to look,
but doesn't claim everything he sees.
For Moby, cities are stops.
Some are passed through,
some are watched from afar,
some are only imagined.
This series
doesn't tell about the places a dog goes,
but how he stays there.

Series Name: Moby Somewhere
Work: Moby Somewhere — Istanbul
Technique:
Digital illustration. (Procreate)
Created with linear narrative, limited color palette and recurring character language.
Each work depicts the same character's state in different cities.
Inspiration & Story:
The Moby Somewhere series questions the idea of belonging to a place.
Moby doesn't "travel" through cities; he stands within them, lingers, sometimes passes through, sometimes observes.
The cities in the series are not backgrounds, but states of mind:
Istanbul is passed through,
Paris is observed from afar,
Venice is treated as an imagined space.
Moby's attitude doesn't change from city to city; only the surroundings change.
This is a conscious choice. Because this series tells not about the places a character goes to, but how he stands there.
Artistic Approach:
Cuteness or touristic narrative is not intended in the series.
Minimal narrative, silence and emptiness are consciously preserved. The aim is to leave a space where the viewer can project their own experience and emotion.

Istanbul – Moby
In Istanbul, Moby doesn't rush.
He doesn't have to miss things.
The crowd speaks, the city doesn't stay silent.
Moby listens.
This is not a place he knows,
but it's not foreign either.
One passes through Istanbul.
One stays in Istanbul.
Istanbul passes through within.
