The work was made for the "Traditional painting competition" organized by DKK. Naval Museum Command. It is a realist painting in classical style. It was made with brush using wet on dry technique, and vivid colors were used. The work depicts the reception ceremony performed by playing the silistre whistle during ceremonies applied in seamanship. The depicted event represents the ceremony of announcing by playing silistre during the commander's honor ceremony for the naval academy training period ceremony.
