DE
My artwork draws inspiration from these deep connections between all forms of life. I aim to reveal the invisible web that ties us all together. My art captures the flowing connections of organic forms and the visible and invisible networks of life.

My creative journey begins with using photographs of local landscapes which I take and as the initial inspiration, compositions I develop.
The next phase involves transform the composition through printmaking techniques such as monotype and linocut. These methods allow me to transfer images onto various surfaces including paper, board, or canvas, adding texture and a unique quality of structure to the work.
What follows is the creation of artworks. I use many materials and techniques; oil and acrylic paints, watercolor, colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, inks, pastels. I combine these materials with collages, which I create from printmaking processes, and are secured using acrylic mediums. I construct the work layer by layer, carefully building depth and form through transparent shades of colors. This subtle use of tonal variation allows shapes and forms to emerge organically within the composition.
I create fine details with an assortment of pencils and brushes, to build the structure. With the interplay of multiple mediums and the layering technique, I aim to create a rich, surface that revealing new details with each viewing.
