"We" explores the long journey humanity embarks upon in a pure quest, only to lose itself along the way, and the profound transformation it undergoes throughout this process. With its black-and-white and misty atmosphere, this work questions the deep chasm between that innocent, unspoiled, truth-seeking self we all once possessed, and the complex, alienated state in which we find ourselves adrift today.

"We" explores the long search journey that humanity sets out on with pure intention, only to lose itself, and the profound transformation it undergoes throughout this process. With its black-and-white and misty atmosphere, this work questions the deep abyss between that innocent, unspoiled, truth-seeking self we all once possessed and the complex, alienated state in which we are adrift today. The dark, twisted tree texture in the foreground symbolizes the chaos of the mind and the world, while the sunken ship on the horizon represents the exhaustion and silent wreckage brought about by the search. Neither that pure state of our beginnings remains, nor can we fully name what this transformation has been; all that is left is the silhouette of our shared humanity, lost among the mists.
This work is a monochromatic (black-and-white) digital collage created by bringing together different visual elements and layers in a digital environment. The mist, texture, and silhouette layers used in the composition break classical photographic reality, creating a timeless atmosphere suspended between dream and nightmare. The depth effect created by the organic and harsh tree textures in the foreground is blended with the hazy sea in the background and the sunken ship details on the horizon, lending the work a painterly, layered, and engraving-like texture.
