Freedom in the Shadow

Oil on canvas, 80/100, I generally work on horse portraits in my works. I use horses as a symbol of freedom in my paintings, and the red rope that has become personalized with me as a background figure that restricts freedom. It is a painting dominated by middle tone. It has a matte varnish finish and a thin black frame. The painting is built on a strong dualism. The contrast of light-dark, free-bound, innocent-controlled is very clear. While the light green in the background gives a psychological space feeling, the yellow striped bands give the painting depth and abstraction. This painting is an artistic tool to remind us of what remains in the shadows of our freedoms.
