Collecist is a digital art portfolio and discovery platform operated by İzlence Bilişim Yazılım Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi.

Our Platform and Services

Collecist is a platform designed for artists to showcase their work and for collectors to discover art.

We provide:

  • Digital portfolio creation and management
  • 3D/AR exhibition spaces
  • Artist and artwork discovery tools
  • Messaging and communication features
  • Promotion and visibility packages

Important: Collecist is an intermediary platform. We are not party to the sale of artworks and we do not charge commission. Sales, payments, delivery, and tax matters are handled entirely between the seller and buyer.

Membership and Account Management

  • Users under 16 years of age cannot register on the platform
  • You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date
  • Keep your password confidential and do not share it with anyone
  • If you believe someone else knows your password, notify us immediately

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you use it in violation of these terms.

Subscription Packages and Payments

Free services: Basic portfolio creation and exhibition are free.

Paid promotion services: Featured listings, special curation, advertising packages, and similar services are paid. Package details and prices are listed on our website.

  • Payments are processed through secure third-party providers
  • We do not store your credit card information
  • Subscriptions automatically renew; you can cancel anytime
  • Cancellation can be done through your account settings

Refund policy: You may request a refund for unused subscription periods. Contact us for details.

Content and Artist Rights

Your rights:

  • Artwork images, descriptions, and profile information you upload belong to you
  • You can update or delete your content at any time
  • You control artwork information and visibility settings

Rights you grant to the platform: By uploading content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the platform and use it to promote Collecist. This license ends when you close your account.

Your responsibilities:

  • You declare that you have all necessary permissions for the content you upload
  • You agree not to infringe on others' copyrights
  • For copyright infringement reports: hak@collecist.com

We reserve the right to remove content that infringes copyright.

Linking to and Sharing the Platform

You may link to profiles, artworks, and exhibitions on Collecist and share them on social media. When doing so:

  • Act fairly and legally
  • Do not harm the platform's reputation
  • Do not use misleading statements suggesting a partnership between us

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the platform to:

  • Share false or misleading information
  • Gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Send spam or unsolicited promotional messages
  • Upload malware or viruses
  • Misrepresent artwork information
  • Present fake provenance or certificates
  • Use the platform for illegal purposes

Sales and Offers

Remember: Collecist does not facilitate sales and does not charge commission.

  • Offers are sent directly to the seller
  • Price, payment terms, and delivery are arranged between seller and buyer
  • The contract is formed between seller and buyer
  • Customs, taxes, insurance, and similar costs are determined between the parties

Collecist is not responsible for disputes, delays, damages, or returns arising from sales.

Privacy and Data Security

Your personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. You can manage your cookie preferences through our Cookie Policy.

Data security:

  • Back up your content regularly
  • In case of account deletion, your data will be deleted within a reasonable period in accordance with legal obligations
  • You are responsible for your account security

Platform Availability

The platform is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be accessible.

We may temporarily suspend the platform for technical maintenance, security, or operational reasons. We will try to provide advance notice when possible.

Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is":

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • You are responsible for backing up against data loss risk
  • We are not responsible for the actions of third-party users
  • We are not responsible for disputes arising from sales transactions

Liability limit: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Collecist's total liability is limited to the total amount you paid for paid services in the last 12 months.

Exception: Liability is not excluded in cases of death, personal injury, or fraud.

Account Closure and Cancellation

By you:

  • You can close your account at any time
  • Cancellation can be done through account settings
  • You may request a refund for unused subscription periods

By us:

  • In case of violation of these terms
  • If you pose a security risk
  • In accordance with legal requirements

Our legal obligations continue even after account closure.

Changes to Terms of Use

We reserve the right to update these terms. Changes take effect when published on our website. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the changes.

We will try to notify you by email of significant changes.

Applicable Law

These terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes will be resolved in Istanbul courts.

We encourage mediation and conciliation methods for dispute resolution.
