Antonini Funeral Monument

This marble sculpture is part of the Antonini monumental tomb located in the Cimitero Monumentale di Verona (Verona Monumental Cemetery). The work depicts an elderly noblewoman (believed to be Giulia Pindemonte Moscardo) being comforted or carried to heaven by an angel. The sculpture features an angel figure with detailed wings and includes a bronze medallion beneath an arch surrounded by marble details. The tomb is located in one of Verona's oldest cemeteries, in an area housing numerous sculptures of artistic significance.
