Ceren Demirok's artistic approach combines the mystical, timeless expression of ancient Central Asian and Far Eastern miniature art with Carl Gustav Jung's collective unconscious archetypes and the introspective philosophy of Sufi teaching. Through the female portraits she chooses as focal points in her works, the artist explores the layers of the human soul, invisible realms, melancholy, and rebirth from ashes. Drawing from the character creation processes of Oriental miniatures and the East-West synthesis, she reconstructs traditional bonds with the aesthetics of the modern digital world.
Ceren Demirok is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who blends the East's deep-rooted visual heritage with the West's profound psychological archetypes through digital painting and mixed techniques. Demirok began her artistic journey with preparatory education for the talent exams of Ankara Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, and completed her undergraduate education at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. She continued her academic research in the Painting Major Art Program at the same university's Institute of Social Sciences, and during her graduate studies, she received professional training in digital art and graphic design from Prof. Seval Yavuz. In line with her interest in Eastern philosophy and semiotic analysis, she obtained her master's degree with a thesis titled "Semiotic Analysis of Black Pen Miniatures and Identification of Plastic Signs." She strengthened her identity as an art educator with pedagogical formation training received from Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty. For years, she has undertaken professional roles in the transmission processes of art by serving as instructor, coordinator, and administrator at various art institutions.
