About Her Art Practice With an attitude of adopting oil paintings on canvas and drawing works on paper throughout her undergraduate education, she carried the city as a theme; Istanbul's construction sites, the colorful materials located in and around construction sites into her paintings by abstracting them. These abstractions carry impressions that are somewhat more lyrical abstract. With an attitude that analyzes her paintings and separates line and stain from each other a bit more, following the trace of line and with the influence of the textile and fashion education she received in high school, she focused on the use of thread in contemporary art during her graduate thesis period. With this perception, she made a transition to a synthesis period. The artist, who progressed more material-oriented, also included thread, needle and fabric as materials in her productions. This journey that began following the line evolved into threads and from there it also influenced the way she used line again. She began to use the optical image formed by the sequential arrangement of lines in her patterns. Currently, material diversity and experimentality are seen in her active productions.
