Nazife Aras

. The starting point of my work is the struggle to exist, which I see as a shared experience of life. I approach this concept not only through the human lens, but through the intertwined transformation of nature, other living beings, and time. Layers, writings, traces, and voids form the visual language of this search. For me, a grain of sand transforming into a pearl over time is a symbol of patience, transformation, and the invisible layers of life. The figures, natural forms, and symbols in my paintings do not so much tell specific stories as they point to a shared experience of existence. The paintings create a space of quiet inquiry through which to look at the layers of life. Rather than offering a definitive judgment, each work invites the viewer to reflect on their own story of existence.

Nazife Aras, born in Antalya/Demre, graduated from the Philosophy department of Anadolu University after completing Antalya High School. She deepened her interest in art through years of painting education at the Gülay Eroğlu Atelier. She further strengthened her artistic knowledge by participating in online education programs offered by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and various other institutions. The artist is a member of the Fine Arts Association (güsad), the International Migration and Integration Association (usder), and serves on the board of directors of the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life. Nazife Aras briefly expresses her art as follows; Art is integrating with the rhythm of the universe, surrendering to the flow, and finding one's existence within that flow. My art takes the pearl's transformation from a grain of sand as a metaphor, narrating the effort a person makes on the path to existence.. In my canvases, rhythms, lines, and cycles continue endlessly; sometimes hidden in the depths, sometimes rising to the surface; just like the flow of life..
