Man holds the end of life in the palms of his hands, yet still chooses to forget. This painting serves as a reminder that a life as brief as a butterfly carries a truth as heavy as a skull. Remembering is not mourning, but an awakening. The 'remember' tattoo on the hand is a reference to this awakening.

The butterfly and skull depiction is based on an engraving work I did during my university years. Creating a painting of my own using a technique I learned for the first time during that period, putting in the effort, and forming the meaning behind it allowed me to establish a bond with the work. This piece is one of the extensions of that bond I formed. I finalized this work inspired by a photograph of a skull I held in my own hands.
