Il Nome della Rosa is a contemplative abstract work inspired by the fragile beauty of memory and presence.
Through layered acrylic textures and nuanced color transitions, the composition unfolds gently across the canvas. Soft gestures and subtle contrasts suggest the trace of something once vivid yet now transformed into a quiet memory.
Rather than depicting a literal rose, the painting captures the emotional atmosphere surrounding remembrance — the way certain moments linger in the mind like a fragrance.
As in much of Serpil Ersü's work, the painting develops through an intuitive dialogue with the canvas, allowing colors and gestures to emerge organically.
The result is a delicate and poetic composition that reflects the fleeting nature of memory and the quiet elegance of what remains.
