Wind and Ink - Istanbul (From the Archive & Origins Series)

TR
Created during the pandemic lockdown in Istanbul, this monochrome ink painting captures the rare, uninterrupted dialogue between the sea breeze and lonely sails, set against the distant silhouette of the Prince's Islands. In the absence of human presence, the fluid black ink mimics the motion of the wind across an empty coastline. The composition balances the strict isolation of the quarantine era with the absolute freedom of the sailboats drifting toward the isolated islands, creating a timeless, poetic reflection on stillness and movement.
