La Soglia reflects the subtle moment of transition that exists between endings and beginnings.
Through layered acrylic textures and vibrant color interactions, the painting creates a dynamic visual space where movement and stillness coexist. Gestural marks and shifting color fields evoke the feeling of standing at a threshold — a place where transformation becomes possible.
Rather than depicting a literal scene, the composition suggests an inner passage, an emotional crossing from one state into another.
As in much of Serpil Ersü’s work, the painting develops through an intuitive dialogue with the canvas. Layers gradually build, allowing color, gesture and surface to interact freely.
The result is a contemplative abstract composition that captures the delicate balance between uncertainty, change and new possibility.
