This work explores the theme of 'crowded loneliness' of urban life through the mechanical and harsh atmosphere of a train station. The figure climbing the stairs and looking at the watch symbolizes modern man's constant effort to catch up with places and the merciless authority of time. The parallel lines of the tracks and the sharp beam of light filtering from above isolate the character as if under stage lighting.
As I mentioned in my photography philosophy, we don't see just a passenger here; when we dig beneath the rough surface, we discover the tragedy of the human trying to manage their individual time between the gears of the system. While what we look at is a transportation point, what we see is that cold face of modern life that flows rapidly, uncatchable, and traps people in their own routine.
