Gözde Yıldırım' More From
Modern existence is a fragmented narrative arising from the tension between the judging gazes of the external world and the individual's inner labyrinth. The subject, placed at the center of a panoptic surveillance culture, has imprisoned the gaze of others in their own mind, transforming into a form that has lost its authentic identity and become alienated from its own body.
This human condition, depicted with entangled limbs and a naked expression, represents the raw and unsettling reality behind social masks. This inner turmoil, contrasting with the blurred city silhouette in the background, questions with an aesthetic language the spiritual disarray, rootlessness, and the individual's entrapment within their own existence brought by modernity.
