Elif Kılıç

I am a producer who approaches zero waste not merely as an environmental preference, but as a critical art practice built upon time, memory, and ethics. In my works, rather than "cleaning" and perfecting waste materials, I leave visible the traces of use, stitches, and wear they carry; because these traces are, for me, witnesses of past contact and lived experience. My productions establish temporal pauses that propose slowing down, looking, and rethinking against fast consumption culture. With an understanding that derives an object's value not from its novelty but from the story it carries; I position my art as a space that focuses more on process than result, blurs boundaries, and invites the viewer to both aesthetic and ethical questioning.

While deepening my education with a master's degree in Political Science and Economics, I also received professional training in the field of fashion design. I shape my work by combining these disciplines with sustainability and environmental consciousness. I organized seminars, workshops and interactive studios on zero waste, environment and sustainable fashion topics at universities; I came together with young people in transformation conversations. I participated as a speaker on many academic platforms such as Kocaeli University Zero Waste Club, Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University and had the opportunity to share my sustainability vision with students.

I organized a personal exhibition and awareness event with the theme of zero waste at Kocaeli University. • I participated in the international zero waste workshop hosted by Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University. • I organized an exhibition titled "Waste is Out of Fashion" within the scope of zero waste at Bursa Uludağ University. • Within the scope of June 5 World Environment Day, I organized an exhibition at Metro Exhibition Station in cooperation with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. • I participated in the EKOİKLİM Summit (Ankara) and represented sustainability and environment-focused work. • I participated in the Zero Waste Summit held for the first time in Istanbul. • In Amasya, I organized various exhibitions within the scope of March 30 International Zero Waste Day in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Provincial Directorate. • I established collaborations with various private hospitals and organized exhibitions and fashion shows with themes of zero waste and sustainable fashion. • In different periods, upon invitations from non-governmental organizations and university student communities, I conducted seminars and workshop studies on zero waste, sustainability and our consumption habits. • My work in the field of zero waste and sustainable fashion was featured in international publications and channels at different times.
