This work addresses the theme of urban life through the monumental architecture of a transportation hub. While the station's massive glass surfaces and high-ceilinged structure emphasize the smallness of the individual within this great mechanical wheel; the perspective created by the marble patterns on the ground traps each figure in their own isolated journey. These steps taken in different directions symbolize how close people are to each other in the speed of modern life, yet how spiritually distant they remain.
