Imaginary Forest

The title opens up a vast space with two words. The fairy tale forest is not a real forest — it is denser, more dangerous, more beautiful. One gets lost inside it, but this getting lost is not frightening; it is transformative. In every fairy tale, the forest is a threshold: the person who enters is not the same as the person who emerges. This work visualizes precisely that threshold, the very middle of that transition. The dominance of green on this canvas is unparalleled within the body of work. This color family — ranging from deep forest green to bright grass green, from pale jade green to electric turquoise — is not monotonous but layered and profound.
