I was born in Istanbul in 1974. After my education at Darüşşafaka High School, I entered Turkey's first Fine Arts High School, giving my artistic journey a professional direction. At Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, where I began in 1994, I shaped the foundation of my plastic understanding by training in the workshops of masters such as Prof. Özdemir Altan, Zekai Ormancı, and Güngör Taner.
In 1999, the 'Chat Noir' studio we established in Kadıköy Yeldeğirmeni became my first independent space where I expressed my artistic practice with a collective energy.
In my work, which I have continued under the Rüzgargülü Art Studio since 2015, I keep deepening my abstract expressionist language by drawing on the momentary perspectives offered by photography, alongside painting. For me, production is an ever-evolving field of discovery and the most honest record of time falling upon the canvas.
