No Pulse is a small-format composition produced in acrylic on canvas measuring 24.5×23 cm, paradoxically carrying an extraordinarily vibrant energy. The title stands like a contradiction. If there is no pulse, there should be silence and stillness; yet this canvas does the exact opposite — something happens in every corner, no area rests, no color falls silent. This paradox forms the most powerful conceptual layer of the work. The absence of a pulse is sometimes not an expression of a true halt, but of stepping outside the familiar rhythm, of a state in which normal measures no longer apply. Or the opposite: it is a painting of a silence so deep it cannot be felt, of that heavy moment when emotions freeze. The composition stretches between these two readings and holds both simultaneously. The dark navy and black masses at the top are heavy, motionless, and oppressive — they represent that dark zone where the pulse has stopped, where time has been suspended. Yet from just beneath these dark masses, red, orange, and green forms pour downward as if exploding. This flow is both a dissolution and an unexpected act of resistance; a declaration that even where there is no pulse, color, energy, and movement continue to exist. The open area at the center of the composition — this breathing zone formed by white, light green, and turquoise — is the most honest point within all this tension. It is neither fully dark nor fully light; it is that critical threshold where the pulse is searched for but cannot be found, where listening yields only silence. The wide green and blue areas on the right, and the curves through which red flows toward this zone, symbolize the persistence of life, the hidden movement within everything that appears to have stopped. Thin lines — blue, orange, green — stretch freely within the square format. These lines evoke the traces of a cardiogram, yet they do not trace a steady rhythm; they scatter and are interrupted. This is the visual counterpart not of the absence of a pulse, but of the pulse being unreadable, unmeasurable. No Pulse, despite its small size, opens a vast emotional space. Moving beyond a medical metaphor, the work speaks to every moment in which love, connection, motivation, or hope has been exhausted. But the fact that the colors are so vivid and insistent whispers one final thing: the pulse may be undetectable, but life has not yet ended.
