Variable Idea is a powerful composition produced using acrylic technique on canvas measuring 50×40 cm, translating the mind's most dynamic and most vivid state — the birth of an idea, its transformation, and its inability to ever settle — into a visual language. The title is both an observation and a defense. A changing idea is not weakness; it is proof that thought remains alive, that the mind continues to be open and curious. This work celebrates variability not as a flaw, but as a virtue. It is a portrait of the mind that does not stay fixed, that rethinks, that grows by adding a new layer upon the moment that came before. The wide expanse of lavender and pink tones at the top offers a soft and lyrical entry rarely encountered in the other works of the series. This area represents that initial moment when the idea has not yet taken shape, when possibilities are still open — that fertile uncertainty where everything is possible and nothing has been determined. Immediately below, the moment thought springs into motion begins: forms that curl, rotate, and pass through one another visualize the way the mind works on an idea. The large curved structure at the center of the composition is the most powerful formal decision in this work. These drooping, undulating, and intertwined forms tell the story of how an idea develops: not linear but cyclical; not unidirectional but folding back upon itself, gaining a new dimension with each fold. The alternating emergence of green, red, orange, blue, and white within this structure suggests that each stage of a changing idea carries a different color — initial excitement, doubt, illumination, renewed questioning, and finally a new form. The tension between the calmer, more expansive white and beige areas on the left and the denser, more complex structure on the right symbolizes the evolution of an idea from simplicity toward complexity — or conversely, the search for simplicity within complexity. The eye, constantly moving between these two poles, directly experiences the variability of the idea. The dark green and navy masses at the bottom form the foundation of all this mental movement — the ground upon which thought rests. No matter how much the idea changes, it has a root, a center of gravity. This dark area represents that continuity, the fixed essence beneath what changes. Variable Idea stands out, alongside Scattered Mind and Fragmented Time, as the most lyrical and most fluid work in a series that charts the inner map of the mind. The work thinks about thinking itself — and in doing so, invites the viewer to observe the flow of their own ideas, to watch how they take shape and transform. Because every truly living idea is variable.
