This work, titled Jesus of Nazareth, was created drawing inspiration from Jesus's spiritual journey and humanity's search for inner transformation. Rather than directly depicting religious narrative, the work addresses the concepts of faith, patience, will, and spiritual maturation through a symbolic language. In the composition, the figure of Jesus advances toward a structure rising on the horizon after a long search. This structure, evoking church and castle architecture, has been interpreted not merely as a physical destination, but also as a symbol of attaining truth, spiritual enlightenment, and inner peace. The idea of the journey represents the trials, questionings, and process of self-discovery that a person encounters throughout life. The work fundamentally focuses on the relationship a person establishes with their own self, the resilience gained through faith, and the determination shown in the face of hardship. The strong black-and-white contrasts and distinct linear structure, characteristic features of linocut printing, were employed to enhance the dramatic effect of the narrative. While the rhythm and texture created by the carved lines reinforce the sense of movement, the contrast between light and dark areas has become the visual expression of the process of spiritual transformation. Among the sources of inspiration for the work are Christian iconography, religious narratives, and works of art dealing with humanity's existential search. The work also establishes a connection with the themes of inner journey, patience, and maturation encountered across different cultures and beliefs. In this respect, Jesus of Nazareth transcends a specific religious narrative and focuses on humanity's effort to know and make sense of itself. This work has been conceived as a symbolic narrative that invites the viewer not merely to contemplate a figure, but to reflect on the concepts of faith, hope, and transformation. The desire to attain truth and the process of inner maturation form the fundamental intellectual axis of the composition.
