On the Edge of Balance

This work addresses bipolar affect, one of the most complex and profound layers of the human mind, through the lens of a woman's indestructible inner strength. The cool tones, spirals, and deep lines on one half of the canvas represent inner silence, the dark and dormant phases of the mind, and the calm waters of the subconscious. The passionate, warm, and dynamic forms on the other half symbolize the rebirth of the soul, its overflowing energy, and its expressive power. ​The feminine nature does not harbor these two opposing worlds as chaos; on the contrary, it contains them as a wholistic force that nourishes, transforms, and grows through one another.
