This striking piece from my "Breaking Point" series, where I examine the turning points of the human mind, explores that deep spiritual state where resistance breaks and the state of letting go begins, through an abstract expressionist language. "Surrender", unlike the aggressive clashes in other works of the series, presents a more organic and accepting composition where forms and colors yield to gravity. The warm pinks and reds filtering downward from the center gently blend into the coolness of the deep blues and greens in the background, symbolizing not the end of conflict, but the harmony of opposites. The industrial halftone (dotted) textures that I use as building blocks in the series are drawn into deeper layers in this work, representing the silent sediments of thought in the background of a calmed mind.
