Wandering Journey is a multi-layered collage and mixed media composition created by bringing together layers with different textures, colors, and materials. The word "wandering" in the title summarizes the spirit of the work in a single word. Wandering is not aimlessness, but free roaming; it is experiencing the path itself, not the destination to be reached. This composition carries the trace of exactly such a mental journey — the pieces have found each other not out of necessity, but through a coincidental gravitational force. Two large circular forms stand out in the structural composition of the work. On the left, a yellow semicircle rising on a black background evokes a sun, a horizon point, or a beginning, while the semicircle in the center where red and black intertwine contains a darker, more internal energy. These two circles symbolize the two poles of travel: the open horizon and the inward journey. The white and black bars extending between the circles stand like a coordinate system but point to no place exactly — just like the wanderer's lack of a map. The color palette reflects a conscious plurality. Yellow, red, orange, blue, navy, black, and gray; each is like a different stop, a different mood, a different memory. Particularly, the coexistence of the painted red surface's brush texture on the left with the flat geometric forms on the right presents both emotional and objective dimensions of travel simultaneously. The dotted dark background represents the quiet, stable world — perhaps the city, perhaps routine — on which all this movement rises. The layering of physical layers and materials also formally corresponds to the nature of wandering. No piece sits perfectly, no edge closes completely; everything is a bit open, a bit half, a bit on the way. This incompleteness is not a deficiency, but the journey itself. Wandering Journey can also be read as a stance against the goal-locked rush of modern life. The work makes a quiet but determined defense of setting out without knowing where to go, being drawn to momentary attractions, and finding meaning in this freedom. The journey is not finished — and perhaps never will be.
