Getting Lost, produced in 2022 using mixed technique and acrylic in dimensions of 50×35 cm, is a mature composition that contains multidirectional energy and deep conceptual inquiry within a horizontal format. The title appears like a loss; but this work tells more of discovery than loss. Getting lost is not always a disaster — sometimes it is the very act of deviating from the known path, advancing without a map, and accepting uncertainty. This composition also carries exactly this duality: it makes visible both a dissolution and the strange freedom within this dissolution. The color language of the work is rich and plural. Different tones of green — from dark forest green to light turquoise — spread throughout the composition like a natural labyrinth. Within this green weave, red, pink, orange and purple forms leap in unexpected directions; just like when the path is lost, the mind extends in all directions at once. The difference between the calmer, pastel-toned areas on the left and the more vivid and complex structure on the right places the states before and after losing the path side by side. The dark burgundy and navy blue masses rising in the center of the composition represent an obstacle, a blockage, or uncertainty itself. The curves and lines rotating around this dark center are the visual traces of thoughts seeking an exit, intuitions exploring possibilities. Especially the large curved form in the center — like a guide line or the last trace of the disappearing path — continuously moves the viewer's eye throughout the composition, never letting it rest anywhere. The free extension of thin lines — white, orange, yellow, green — throughout all this chaos tells of the paradoxical richness of getting lost. These lines are not maps, but traces; they do not show where to go but prove where one has passed. The halftone texture areas emerging on the right edge and upper left add an external eye to this personal experience, an urban or medial layer. The bright, luminous area in the upper right and the warm beige ground in the lower left offer the composition two different breathing points. These clearings whisper that the path is not completely closed, that darkness does not engulf everything. For someone who has lost their way, these open areas are small but vital sparks of hope. Getting Lost invites an honest and beautiful confrontation with one of modern humanity's deepest and most silent fears — not knowing whether one is on the right path. The work does not resolve that uncertainty; but makes it livable within. And perhaps the real message is this: getting lost is sometimes the beginning of the most correct path.
