I was born in Istanbul in 1974. After my education at Darüşşafaka High School, I gave a professional direction to my artistic journey by entering Turkey's first Fine Arts High School. At Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, which I started in 1994, I constructed the skeleton of my plastic understanding by training in the workshops of masters such as Prof. Özdemir Altan, Zekai Ormancı and Güngör Taner.
The 'Chat Noir' workshop we established in Kadıköy Yeldeğirmeni in 1999 became my first independent space where I expressed my art practice with collective energy.
In my work that I have been continuing within Rüzgargülü Art Workshop since 2015, I continue to deepen my abstract expressionist language by drawing from the momentary perspectives that photography offers alongside painting. For me, production is a continuously evolving field of discovery and the most honest record of time falling onto canvas.
